1 AN ACT concerning the Illinois Century Network.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Century Network Act is amended
5 by adding Section 25 as follows:
6 (20 ILCS 3921/25 new)
7 Sec. 25. Illinois Century Network Special Purposes Fund.
8 There is hereby created the Illinois Century Network Special
9 Purposes Fund within the State treasury. Deposits into the
10 Fund shall include but not be limited to any funds
11 appropriated to State agencies for the operation of the
12 Network, funds collected as reimbursements, fees for network
13 partnerships, and federal funds. Deposits into the Fund
14 shall include any gifts, grants, or donations received by the
15 network from any public or private organization including
16 State and federal agencies. Subject to appropriation, all
17 moneys within the fund shall be expended for the operation of
18 the Illinois Century Network, including building and
19 maintaining the Network and its supporting connections.
20 Section 10. The State Finance Act is amended by adding
21 Section 5.570 as follows:
22 (30 ILCS 105/5.570 new)
23 Sec. 5.570. Illinois Century Network Special Purposes
24 Fund.
25 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
26 becoming law.
