1 AN ACT in relation to vehicles.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by
5 changing Section 15-201 as follows:
6 (625 ILCS 5/15-201) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 15-201)
7 Sec. 15-201. Vehicles exceeding prescribed weight limits
8 - Preventing use of highway by.
9 The Department of State Police is directed to institute
10 and maintain a program designed to prevent the use of public
11 highways by vehicles which exceed the maximum weights allowed
12 by Section 15-111 of this Act or which exceeds the maximum
13 weights allowed as evidenced by the license plates attached
14 to that such vehicle and which license is required by this
15 Act.
