The sum of $8,000,000, or so much thereof as 31 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Transportation 32 Regulatory Fund to the Illinois Commerce Commission for -4- BOB-ICC03a 1 disbursing funds collected for the Single State Insurance 2 Registration Program to be distributed to: (1) participating 3 states, provided that no distributions exceed funds made 4 available from registration collections; and (2) for refunds 5 for overpayments. 6 Section 5. The sum of $635,000, or so much thereof as 7 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Transportation 8 Regulatory Fund to assist the Illinois Commerce Commission in 9 monitoring railroad crossing safety. 10 Section 6. The sum of $1,545,400, or so much thereof as 11 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Public Utility 12 Fund to assist the Illinois Commerce Commission in 13 implementing the Electric Service Customer Choice and Rate 14 Relief Law of 1997. 15 Section 7. The sum of $584,000, or so much thereof as 16 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 17 Fund to assist the Illinois Commerce Commission in 18 implementing the Electric Service Customer Choice and Rate 19 Relief Law of 1997, including costs in prior years. 20 Section 8. The sum of $382,500, or so much thereof as 21 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 22 Fund to assist the Illinois Commerce Commission in 23 implementing a consumer education program regarding the 24 Electric Service Customer Choice and Rate Relief Law of 1997. 25 Section 9. The sum of $600,000, or so much thereof as 26 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Transportation 27 Regulatory Fund to assist the Illinois Commerce Commission in 28 planning, developing, and implementing a multi-agency "one 29 stop" electronic credentialing system for commercial vehicles -5- BOB-ICC03a 1 operating to, from, and through Illinois. 2 Section 10. The sum of $205,000, or so much thereof as 3 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Transportation 4 Regulatory Fund to the Illinois Commerce Commission in 5 support of grade crossing education and enforcement programs, 6 including awards and grants to units of local government. 7 Section 11. The sum of $5,000,000, or so much thereof as 8 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Digital Divide 9 Elimination Infrastructure Fund to the Illinois Commerce 10 Commission for grants and awards for the construction of 11 high-speed data transmission facilities. 12 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on 13 July 1, 2002.
