92_HJ0061 LRB9211383JMmb 1 HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 2 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 3 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE 4 SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that when a chamber of the General 5 Assembly receives a bill that passed the other chamber of the 6 General Assembly by at least a three-fifths vote and the 7 receiving chamber fails to assign the bill to a substantive 8 committee, by the receiving chamber's deadline for passage of 9 substantive bills by committee, then the chair of the Rules 10 Committee of the receiving chamber must notify in writing the 11 chief sponsor of the bill in its chamber of origin of the 12 reasons for the failure to assign the bill to a substantive 13 committee.
