1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representative are pleased to recognize significant
4 milestones in the history of businesses of the State of
5 Illinois; and
6 WHEREAS, The Mt. Zion Chamber of Commerce has declared
7 that the Business of the Year for the year 2000 is Green
8 Valley Inc; and
9 WHEREAS, Green Valley, Inc. started from humble
10 beginnings in Mt. Zion, growing into an industry with
11 national connections; and
12 WHEREAS, From the development of the Go'fer, designed and
13 manufactured by Green Valley to transport factory materials,
14 the company has grown to serve material handling and assembly
15 line ergonomic needs throughout the Midwest; and
16 WHEREAS, In 1997 Green Valley built a 12,000 square foot
17 building in the village industrial park located south on
18 Highway 121; the work force has grown to more than 25
19 employees with more expansion planned for the future; and
20 WHEREAS, Green Valley and its President, Mike
21 Schollmeier, have maintained an interest in how the village
22 of Mt. Zion continues to grow; he remains active as a Chamber
23 of Commerce member and as a member of the Economic
24 Development Committee; therefore, be it
25 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
26 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
27 we congratulate Green Valley, Inc. for being named Mt.
28 Zion's Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year for the year
29 2000; and be it further
30 RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to

1 the President of Green Valley, Inc., Mike Schollmeier, as an
2 expression of our esteem.
