92_HR0034 LRB9203756RHrh 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 3 Representatives are pleased to honor milestones in junior 4 high school sports in the State of Illinois; and 5 WHEREAS, The Williamsville Junior High School 7th grade 6 girls basketball team recently finished third in the 2000 7 IESA Class 7AA State Tournament; and 8 WHEREAS, Williamsville met the challenge by first 9 defeating PORTA by the score of 45-15 to win the Regional 10 Championship; then they went on to defeat Warrensburg-Latham 11 by the score of 59-17 to win the Sectional Championship; at 12 the State Tournament, the girls were victorious over 13 undefeated Prairie Central winning 31-30 in a game that went 14 down to the last second; then on to the quarterfinals where 15 Normal Parkside was their next victim by the score 27-25, 16 which advanced the girls to the trophy round in which 17 Williamsville suffered a tough loss to Chatham Glenwood; but 18 the girls held their head high going into the consolation 19 game to beat Bourbonnais by the score of 35-25 for the third 20 place finish; and 21 WHEREAS, Williamsville Junior High School 7th grade girls 22 basketball team consists of Brittney Pipkin, Brittany Casson, 23 Brittany Moore, Denise Pachlhofer, Heidi Priester, Nicole 24 Jennings, Cailan Seif, Jenna French, Paige Borjon, Amy 25 Teubner, Jenny Killian, and Katie Fulginiti; their coach is 26 Kristine Paulauskis; and assistant coach is Lisa Green; the 27 team ended the season with 22 wins and 3 losses; therefore, 28 be it 29 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 30 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 31 we congratulate the Williamsville Junior High 7th grade girls 32 basketball team for taking third place in the 2000 IESA Class -2- LRB9203756RHrh 1 7AA State Tournament; and be it further 2 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 3 presented to Williamsville Junior High School Principal, 4 Rodney McQuality, Coach, Kristine Paulauskis, Assistant 5 Coach, Lisa Green and to the members of the 7th grade girls 6 basketball team as an expression of our esteem.
