1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to recognize milestone events in
4 the lives of the citizens of the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, The Brinkmann Family was named as the Clinton
6 County "2000 Farm Family of the Year"; and
7 WHEREAS, Darryl Brinkmann is a graduate of the University
8 of Illinois with a B.S. degree in Agricultural Economics; he
9 started his farming career in 1981; Darryl and his brother,
10 Kent, farm 750 acres of cropland at the home farm in South
11 Clement Township; and
12 WHEREAS, From 1983 to the present day, Darryl Brinkmann
13 has become a very active member of the community as well as
14 many State and National organizations which include being an
15 active member of the Clinton County Farm Bureau since 1985
16 and serving as its current president; secretary and chairman
17 for the Illinois Farm Bureau State Young Farmers Committee in
18 1986; he served as chairman of the advisory board on the
19 Illinois Farm Bureau Board of Directors in 1990; a seven year
20 member of the Clinton County Service Co., during which time
21 he served as secretary and president between 1983 and 1990;
22 he served as board member and treasurer of AgriPride F.S. Inc
23 from 1990 through 1991; in 1991 he became a member of the
24 Illinois Soybean Association and served as treasurer,
25 vice-president, and president of the board from 1991 through
26 1999; he has been a member of the American Soybean
27 Association since 1995 during which time he has served on the
28 board for two years; since 1999, he has served as director
29 for the American Soybean Association on the National
30 Biodiesel board; and most recently he serves as a board
31 member for the Producers Alliance; and
32 WHEREAS, Darryl Brinkmann, his wife Jean and daughter

1 Danielle reside at the home farm located in South Clement
2 Township; therefore, be it
3 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
4 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
5 we congratulate the Brinkmann Family for being the recipient
6 of the Clinton County "Farm Family of the Year" award; and be
7 it further
8 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9 presented to the Brinkmann Family as an expression of our
10 esteem.
