1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to recognize notable citizens of
4 the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Marvin
6 Oldenburger is stepping down from his duties as village
7 trustee for the village of Antioch; and
8 WHEREAS, Marvin Oldenburger has proudly served as village
9 trustee for the village of Antioch since 1993; before his
10 appointment as a village trustee, Mr. Oldenburger served as a
11 Plan Commission Member from 1987 through 1989, as the Plan
12 Commission Chairman from 1989 through 1993, and as a
13 Redevelopment Committee Member from 1993 to the present day;
14 and
15 WHEREAS, During his tenure as a village trustee, Mr.
16 Oldenburger served on a variety of committees including, the
17 Planning Committee, the Zoning Committee, the Building
18 Committee, the Industrial and Retail Development Committee,
19 and as Chair of Civic Activities; his support and dedication
20 over the years to the citizens of Antioch have helped the
21 village thrive; and
22 WHEREAS, In addition to his duties as village trustee,
23 Marvin Oldenburger is a member of the Antioch Moose Lodge,
24 and the Antioch Lions Club; he serves as Senior
25 Vice-President in charge of loans and as a member of the
26 Board of Directors at First National Bank of Antioch Employee
27 Owned; and
28 WHEREAS, Marvin Oldenburger is supported by his loving
29 family which includes his wife, Sharon, his children, Pam
30 (husband, Paul) Larson and Diane (husband, Jeff) Henning, and
31 his grandchildren, Mary Larson and Michaela Henning;

1 therefore, be it
2 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
3 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
4 we congratulate Marvin Oldenburger for his dedicated service
5 as village trustee to the citizens of Antioch, and we wish
6 him well in all of his future endeavors; and be it further
7 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8 presented to Marvin Oldenburger as an expression of our
9 esteem.
