1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The Duke Blue Devils, under the leadership of
3 Coach Mike Krzyzewski, are the 2001 NCAA Men's Basketball
4 National Champions; and
5 WHEREAS, Coach Mike Krzyzewski was born in Chicago and
6 attended Weber High School before entering the United States
7 Military Academy at West Point; and
8 WHEREAS, Having won three NCAA Championships, Coach
9 Krzyzewski is acknowledged as one of the great college
10 basketball coaches of all time; and
11 WHEREAS, Coach K is ably assisted by the members of his
12 staff, particularly Michael Schrage, whose knowledge and
13 dedication are unsurpassed and whose knowledge of basketball
14 is in no way attributable to his uncle, Representative Kurt
15 Granberg; therefore be it
16 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
17 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
18 we congratulate Coach Mike Krzyzewski, Michael Schrage and
19 the other members of Coach Krzyzewski's staff, and the Duke
20 Blue Devil players for their outstanding season and their
21 2001 NCAA Men's Basketball National Championship; and be it
22 further
23 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this Resolution be
24 delivered to Mike Krzyzewski and Michael Schrage with our
25 best wishes for their continued success.
