1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to recognize outstanding achievements of
4 a Police Department in the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, The Buffalo Grove Police Department has
6 continued to lead the State of Illinois in terms of arresting
7 drunk drivers, according to statistics compiled by the
8 Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists; and
9 WHEREAS, Last year, the Buffalo Grove Police Department
10 made 832 DUI arrests, the most of any municipal department in
11 the State outside of Chicago; and
12 WHEREAS, This is the third consecutive year that the
13 Buffalo Grove Police Department has led the State of Illinois
14 in terms of targeting drunk drivers and enforcing DUI laws;
15 therefore, be it
16 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
17 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
18 we congratulate the Buffalo Grove Police Department on
19 leading the State of Illinois for the third consecutive year
20 in successfully arresting drunk drivers; and be it further
21 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22 presented to the Buffalo Grove Police Department as an
23 expression of our esteem.
