1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor outstanding
4 contributions by organizations of the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, The Order of DeMolay International is an
6 organization dedicated to preparing young men to lead
7 successful, happy, and productive lives; and
8 WHEREAS, The Order of DeMolay International opens doors
9 for young men aged 12 to 21 by developing civic awareness,
10 personal responsibility, and leadership skills so vitally
11 needed in society today; and
12 WHEREAS, The Order of DeMolay International combines a
13 serious mission with a fun approach that builds important
14 bonds of friendship among members in more than 1,000 chapters
15 worldwide; and
16 WHEREAS, Over the years, the Order of DeMolay
17 International has had many distinguished members, and they
18 include Walt Disney, John Wayne, Walter Cronkite, Fran
19 Tarkenton, Tom Osborne, David Goodnow, and many others; and
20 WHEREAS, During the 81st International Supreme Council
21 Session held in Anaheim, California from June 13 through June
22 16, Gregory R. Klemm of Elgin, Illinois will be officially
23 elected to the office of Grand Master; therefore, be it
24 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
25 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
26 we congratulate the Order of DeMolay International for their
27 dedication and service to the youth of Illinois; and we
28 congratulate Gregory R. Klemm of Elgin, Illinois on being
29 elected to the office of Grand Master at the 81st Supreme
30 Council Session in Anaheim, California in June 2001; and be
31 it further

1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to the Order of DeMolay International and to
3 Gregory R. Klemm as an expression of our esteem.
