1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Project Success is a program of the State of
3 Illinois, administered under the auspices of the Department
4 of Human Services; and
5 WHEREAS, The two main goals of Project Success are to
6 support systemic changes that improve collaboration and
7 resource-sharing between state and local agencies and improve
8 the well-being of children and families by providing services
9 that stress school success, local decision-making, parental
10 involvement and prevention; and
11 WHEREAS, Project Success needs to continue to function
12 with the full support of the State of Illinois and the
13 General Assembly; and
14 WHEREAS, The Project Success Oversight Committee was
15 established by House Resolution 350 during the Ninety-second
16 General Assembly to provide on-going oversight of the Project
17 Success program; and
18 WHEREAS, The Project Success Oversight Committee has been
19 thwarted in its attempts to obtain documents and other
20 necessary information needed to fulfill its duties;
21 therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
23 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
24 the Department of Human Services is encouraged to provide
25 documents, testimony, and other information that is needed by
26 the Project Success Oversight Committee to fulfill its
27 legislative duties.
