92_HR0586 LRB9211244RHrh 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 3 Representatives are pleased to recognize notable achievements 4 in high school sports in the State of Illinois; and 5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Joliet 6 Catholic Academy's football team, the Hilltoppers, recently 7 won the State Class 5A Championship; and 8 WHEREAS, On Saturday, November 24, 2001, at Memorial 9 Stadium on the University of Illinois campus, the Hilltoppers 10 ended an outstanding football season with the overall record 11 of 13 wins and 1 loss with a 27-20 victory over Morris High 12 School; and 13 WHEREAS, Coach Dan Sharp can be proud of his team and its 14 winning year; Joliet Catholic Academy has now won three 15 consecutive State titles and has established a State record 16 with its tenth overall championship; and 17 WHEREAS, Through the leadership of Coach Sharp and the 18 hard work and dedication of the young men that make up the 19 Hilltoppers roster, the people of Joliet, and the students, 20 staff, and faculty of Joliet Catholic Academy, can be proud 21 of their State champion Hilltoppers; therefore, be it 22 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 23 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 24 we congratulate the Hilltoppers of Joliet Catholic Academy on 25 their impressive football season and their Class 5A State 26 Championship; and be it further 27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 28 presented Coach Dan Sharp and the members of the Hilltoppers 29 football team.
