1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are honored to recognize milestone events in
4 the lives of the citizens of the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that John R.
6 Glennon has retired from the Chicago Fire Department after 26
7 years of service; and
8 WHEREAS, Mr. Glennon began his career with the Chicago
9 Fire Department on June 30, 1975, and at the time of his
10 retirement in September, 2001, he served as a
11 Firefighter/Paramedic for Engine Company 83; and
12 WHEREAS, Mr. Glennon throughout his career has had the
13 love and support of his wife, Dauma, who is a Paramedic
14 assigned to Ambulance Company 40, his children, John, who is
15 a Firefighter/EMT assigned to Engine Company 68, Patrick, and
16 Eileen, and his grandson, James; and
17 WHEREAS, Fondly known as the "Mouse", Mr. Glennon will be
18 enjoying his retirement in the sunny state of Florida until
19 his wife, Dauma, finds him another job; and
20 WHEREAS, Members of the Chicago Fire Department will
21 celebrate the service of John R. Glennon at a retirement
22 party on February 20, 2002; therefore, be it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
24 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
25 we congratulate John R. Glennon on his retirement after 26
26 years of dedication and service to the Chicago Fire
27 Department; and be it further
28 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
29 presented to John R. Glennon as an expression of our esteem.
