1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the
3 cornerstones upon which our society is built, and a marriage
4 that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for
5 the people of the State of Illinois; and
6 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mr. and Mrs.
7 Ed Frank of Carlyle, Illinois, recently celebrated the
8 fiftieth anniversary of their marriage; and
9 WHEREAS, Ed Frank and Bea Clanton were united in holy
10 matrimony on January, 22, 1952, at St. Paul's Catholic Church
11 in Highland by Msgr. William B. Whalen; and
12 WHEREAS, They are the loving parents of Kevin Frank,
13 Suzanne (Richard) Christ, and the late Dan Frank; and the
14 grandparents of Kevin and Krista Frank and Steven and Laura
15 Christ; and
16 WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its
17 highest plateaus when a couple such as Ed and Bea Frank
18 celebrate their golden wedding anniversary; and
19 WHEREAS, Ed and Bea Frank stand as examples of the best
20 of our society, and their love and devotion to each other and
21 to their family and friends serve as a reminder to all that
22 hard work, dedication, and love can make a difference in
23 today's world; therefore, be it
24 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
25 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
26 we congratulate Ed and Bea Frank on the occasion of their
27 fiftieth wedding anniversary; that we commend them for
28 achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with children
29 and grandchildren and rich in friendships; and that we wish
30 them happiness and good health in the future; and be it

1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to Mr. and Mrs. Ed Frank as an expression of our
3 respect and esteem.
