1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to recognize milestone accomplishments
4 in school sports in the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, The Mt. Pulaski Grade School Girls Volleyball
6 Team, the Honeybears, recently won the State Class 8A Girls
7 Volleyball Championship; and
8 WHEREAS, The Honeybears met the challenge by first
9 defeating the team from AC Central in the semi-final match;
10 in the championship match, a very familiar foe awaited them,
11 the Stags of Hartsburg-Emden; in the end, the Honeybears were
12 victorious and defeated the Stags for the 4th time this
13 season by the scores of 15-4 and 15-3; and
14 WHEREAS, The members of the team are Erica Montgomery,
15 Tiffany Turner, Kim Oglesby, Kristie Anderson, Ashley
16 Hartman, Chelsey Seitz, Beth Conaway, Allison Wilson, Abbie
17 Southerlan, Amy Meister, Tieriny Robbins, Samantha Schahl,
18 Rachel Robertson, Elizabeth Fanning, and Amber Doty; the
19 coach is Donna Dulle; and the managers are Ashley Southerlan,
20 Meghan Stoll, Katie Russell, Kelsey Oglesby, Kassie Schmidt,
21 and Jeri-Kaye Turner; and
22 WHEREAS, The Honeybears finished a fantastic season with
23 30 wins and zero losses using teamwork to accomplish their
24 goals; therefore, be it
25 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
26 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
27 we congratulate the Honeybears of Mt. Pulaski Grade School on
28 winning the State Class 8A Girls Volleyball Championship; and
29 be it further
30 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
31 presented to Principal Linda Searby, coach Donna Dulle; and

2 Volleyball Team as an expression of our esteem.
