1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor significant events in
4 high school sports in the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Arthur
6 Langston, Jr. of Vandalia recently became the State Wrestling
7 Champion in the 215 lb. weight class for 2002; and
8 WHEREAS, On February 23, 2002, the Vandalia Wrestling
9 Team finished third in the State at the team tournament in
10 Naperville; and
11 WHEREAS, Arthur Langston, Ryan Clay, Greg LeDuc, Dustin
12 Graumenz, Nathan Street, Patrick Keeling, Gary Cox, and Tad
13 Keeling all qualified for the State Tournament; and
14 WHEREAS, The Vandal Wrestling Team has been coached by
15 Glenn Exton since 1992; Coach Exton's record with the team is
16 an impressive 205 wins, 27 losses, and 3 ties; he has taken 6
17 of his last 7 teams to the State Tournament, including 4
18 places and 1 State Championship; and
19 WHEREAS, The Vandal Wrestling Team for the 2001-2002
20 season were seniors Arthur Langston, Ryan Clay, Greg LeDuc,
21 Doug Kuehn, Dustin Graumenz, Zac Collins, Chris Mathews, and
22 Nathan Street; juniors Patrick Keeling, Dylan Smith, Derek
23 Hellman, and Dustin Jackson; sophomores Steven Peters, Taylor
24 Osborne, Gabe Boatman, Jerry Bowling, Wes Langston, Gary Cox,
25 Craig Kern, Trevor Fulk, and Patrick Hollinshead; freshmen
26 Tad Keeling, Mitchel Graumenz, Donnie Warren, Jon Smith, Kyle
27 Keppler, Gabe Emerick, Anthony Scoles, David Milam, Noah
28 Haynes, and Butch Peterson; and Coach Glenn Exton and
29 Assistant Coach Merle Adermann; therefore, be it
30 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
31 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

1 we congratulate Arthur Langston, Jr. and the Vandalia
2 Wrestling Team for their outstanding performances at State
3 level competitions; and be it further
4 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to Coach Glenn Exton and the Vandalia Wrestling
6 Team as an expression of our esteem.
