1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to recognize milestone events in
4 the lives of the citizens of the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Susan
6 Mirabella is retiring from her duties as a speech-language
7 pathologist from Orland Park School District 135 after 34
8 years of service; and
9 WHEREAS, During her 34-year career, Susan Mirabella has
10 instituted preschool and early childhood programs, mentored
11 student teachers, provided assistive technology consultation,
12 negotiated contracts, and provided excellent speech-language
13 services; and
14 WHEREAS, Susan Mirabella serves as the president of the
15 local Orland Council of Educators and serves as the treasurer
16 of IFT/AFT Local 943; and
17 WHEREAS, Susan Mirabella has been married to Jim
18 Mirabella for 30 years; they are the proud parents of their
19 daughter, Julie; in her free time, Mrs. Mirabella is a
20 scratch golfer, playing as often as possible; and
21 WHEREAS, Family, friends, and colleagues will celebrate
22 the 34-year career and retirement of Susan Mirabella on May
23 16, 2002; therefore, be it
24 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
25 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
26 we congratulate Susan Mirabella on her retirement from Orland
27 Park School District 135 after a 34-year career as a
28 speech-language pathologist, and we wish her well in all of
29 her future endeavors; and be it further
30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
