 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, In 1941, Ronald Tribout was born  to  Edwin  and
 3    Gladys Tribout in Belleville; and

 4        WHEREAS,  In  1947,  Mr.  Tribout  began  his educational
 5    career by attending St.  Theresa  Catholic  Grade  School  in
 6    Belleville; and

 7        WHEREAS,  Mr. Tribout further attended Cathedral Catholic
 8    High School  in  Belleville  where  he  lettered  in  Varsity
 9    Football and Baseball; and

10        WHEREAS,  Mr.  Tribout  served  his country in the United
11    States Air Force Reserves from 1963 to  1969,  where  he  was
12    stationed at Scott Air Force Base in Mascoutah, Illinois; and

13        WHEREAS, After his honorable discharge from the Air Force
14    Reserves,  Mr. Tribout attended Belleville Junior College and
15    eventually graduated from  Southern  Illinois  University  in
16    Edwardsville  in  1969 with a bachelor's degree in Education;
17    and

18        WHEREAS, Mr. Tribout began his teaching career in 1964 as
19    a fifth and sixth grade social studies teacher at St.  Claire
20    Catholic Grade School in O'Fallon; and

21        WHEREAS,  In  1967, Ronald Tribout married his wife of 35
22    years, Linda  Sue  Cummings,  whom  he  met  while  attending
23    Southern  Illinois University; they are the parents of Kevin,
24    Lucienne, and Marc; and

25        WHEREAS, In 1969, Mr. Tribout began his  teaching  career
26    at  Mascoutah Senior High School in Mascoutah; throughout his
27    33-year tenure, he spent the majority of those years  molding
28    young  lives  by  coaching  Girls Softball for 17 years, Boys
29    Football for over 10 years, and Boys Wrestling; and

30        WHEREAS, In 1991, the  Mascoutah  Indians  Girls  Varsity

 1    Softball  team  under  Mr. Tribout's direction made it to the
 2    IHSA State  Softball  Semi-Final  Playoff  Game,  where  they
 3    captured 4th place honors; and

 4        WHEREAS,  During his tenure at Mascoutah High School, Mr.
 5    Tribout has shaped the lives of  many  young  men  and  women
 6    through  instruction  and athletics; he has witnessed many of
 7    his  students  going  on  and  pursuing  wonderful   careers,
 8    becoming  college athletes, and serving as community leaders;
 9    and

10        WHEREAS, After a 33-year  teaching  career  at  Mascoutah
11    High  School  and  an  overall 36-year teaching career in the
12    State of Illinois, Ronald Tribout will retire in  June  2002;
13    therefore, be it

14        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
15    NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
16    we congratulate and commemorate Ronald Tribout as he  retires
17    from  his  33-year teaching and coaching career  at Mascoutah
18    High School, and we wish  him  well  in  all  of  his  future
19    endeavors; and be it further

20        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
21    presented to Ronald Tribout as an expression of our esteem.
