1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are proud to recognize milestone events in
4 the lives of the citizens of this State; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Dr. Owen H.
6 Bloodgood, obstetrician/gynecologist in Arlington Heights, is
7 retiring after 45 years of practice; and
8 WHEREAS, Dr. Bloodgood received his medical degree from
9 the University of Illinois and has had his practice in
10 Arlington Heights throughout his career; and
11 WHEREAS, Dr. Bloodgood married Mary Kotleba in 1988 and
12 combined they have 11 children and 20 grandchildren; and
13 WHEREAS, Dr. Bloodgood, a kind, gentle, and soft-spoken
14 gentleman, has delivered thousands of babies and spends much
15 time with his patients; and
16 WHEREAS, In retirement, Dr. Bloodgood will go to the
17 hospital 4 to 6 times a month as a resident in OB; he will
18 also review charts at a clinic in Schaumburg; and
19 WHEREAS, Dr. Bloodgood's leisure activities include
20 horseshoes, poker, travel, and sailing; therefore, be it
21 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
22 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
23 we congratulate Dr. Owen H. Bloodgood on his retirement and
24 wish him all the best in his future endeavors; and be it
25 further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to Dr. Bloodgood as an expression of our esteem.
