1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that William E.
3 Rabe of Chester is retiring on December 1, 2002, after 13
4 years as Randolph County Clerk; and
5 WHEREAS, Mr. Rabe was appointed Randolph County Clerk on
6 December 1, 1989 and was elected to the position in 1990,
7 1994, and 1998; for many years before being appointed
8 Randolph County Clerk, Mr. Rabe served as District Manager
9 for Illinois Power; and
10 WHEREAS, Mr. Rabe married Yvette Mueller on July 26, 1952
11 and they were pleased to celebrate their fiftieth wedding
12 anniversary this year; they are the proud parents of four
13 children, and also have fourteen grandchildren and two
14 great-grandchildren; and
15 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Rabe are the parents of Denise
16 Ebers and husband Gary Ebers, Reverend Curt Rabe and wife
17 Mary, Mark Rabe and wife Cindy, and Sharon Jean Dees and
18 husband Robert Dees; they are the grandparents of Robin
19 Carroll and husband Keith, Kristen Wolters and husband Glenn,
20 John Amschler, Michael Ebers and wife Brandi, David Rabe,
21 Jennifer Ebers, Matthew Rabe, Diane Rabe, Katheryn Ebers,
22 Aaron Rabe, Jodi Amschler, Janice Rabe, Rachel Rabe, and Ruth
23 Rabe; they are the great-grandparents of Kenadi Carroll and
24 Dominic Carroll; and
25 WHEREAS, During retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Rabe plan to
26 travel from Seattle, Washington to South Carolina to visit
27 their family; he is a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Rams
28 and plans to attend as many games as time permits after
29 following the local school sports programs; therefore, be it
30 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
31 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

1 we congratulate William E. Rabe of Chester on his retirement
2 as Randolph County Clerk; and be it further
3 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to Mr. Rabe with our best regards.
