1 AN ACT concerning boats.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Boat Registration and Safety Act is
5 amended by changing Section 5-1 as follows:
6 (625 ILCS 45/5-1) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 315-1)
7 Sec. 5-1. Careless operation. No person shall operate
8 any watercraft in a careless or heedless manner so as to
9 endanger any person or property or at a rate of speed greater
10 than will permit him or her in the exercise of reasonable
11 care to bring the watercraft to a stop within the assured
12 clear distance ahead.
