92_SB0252enr SB252 Enrolled LRB9203982WHcs 1 AN ACT concerning unemployment insurance. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The Unemployment Insurance Act is amended by 5 adding Section 232.2 as follows: 6 (820 ILCS 405/232.2 new) 7 Sec. 232.2. Students; organized camps. 8 A. The term "employment" does not include service 9 performed by a full-time student in the employ of an 10 organized camp if: 11 1. the camp: 12 (a) did not operate for more than 7 months in 13 the calendar year and did not operate for more than 14 7 months in the preceding calendar year; or 15 (b) had average gross receipts for any 6 16 months in the preceding calendar year which were not 17 more than 33 1/3% of its average gross receipts for 18 the other 6 months in the preceding calendar year; 19 and 20 2. the full-time student performs services in the 21 employ of the camp for less than 13 calendar weeks in the 22 calendar year. 23 B. For the purposes of this Section, an individual shall 24 be treated as a full-time student for any period: 25 1. during which the individual is enrolled as a 26 full-time student at an educational institution; or 27 2. which is between academic years or terms if: 28 (a) the individual was enrolled as a full-time 29 student at an educational institution for the 30 immediately preceding academic year or term; and 31 (b) there is a reasonable assurance that the SB252 Enrolled -2- LRB9203982WHcs 1 individual will be so enrolled for the immediately 2 succeeding academic year or term after the period 3 described in clause (a) of this subdivision 2.
