1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 528
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 528, AS AMENDED,
3 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
4 following:
5 "Section 5. The Nursing and Advanced Practice Nursing
6 Act is amended by adding Section 5-21 as follows:
7 (225 ILCS 65/5-21 new)
8 Sec. 5-21. No rule shall be adopted under this Act that
9 allows a registered nurse, a licensed practical nurse, or an
10 advanced practice nurse to perform any act, task, or function
11 that requires professional judgement and that is primarily
12 performed in the lawful practice of optometry under the
13 Illinois Optometric Practice Act of 1987.
14 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
15 becoming law.".
