1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 640
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 640 on page 1, by
3 replacing lines 24 and 25 with the following:
4 "Act 91-393) of the 91st General"; and
5 by replacing lines 28 through 31 on page 1 and line 1 on page
6 2 with the following:
7 "officer to the date the refund is made. If a completed
8 refund application is not filed with the county collector's
9 office within 60 days after a refund application form and
10 notice as set forth in this Section are mailed by the
11 collector to the taxpayer or his or her representative,
12 however, then interest shall cease to run from that date
13 until a completed application is filed. The notice mailed by
14 the county collector shall advise the taxpayer or his or her
15 representative that a completed refund application must be
16 filed to obtain a refund and that interest will cease to run
17 unless this filing is made within 60 days after the mailing
18 of the notice and application form. To cover the cost"; and
19 on page 2, lines 7, 9, 12, and 14 by replacing "treasurer",
20 each time it appears, with "collector".
