1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 962
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 962 of page 8 by
3 replacing lines 19 through 22 with the following:
4 "(1) Except for"; and
5 on page 8, line 24, by changing "Act" to "Act or eligible
6 persons who qualify for the waiver authorized in paragraph
7 (3) of this subsection"; and
8 on page 8 by replacing line 32 with the following:
9 "(3) Waiver: The preexisting condition exclusions
10 as set forth in paragraph (1) of this subsection shall be
11 waived to the extent to which the eligible person (a) has
12 satisfied similar exclusions under any prior individual
13 health insurance policy that was involuntarily terminated
14 because of the insolvency of the issuer of the policy and
15 (b) has applied for Plan coverage within 63 days
16 following the involuntary termination of that individual
17 health insurance coverage (Blank).".
