1 AN ACT concerning vehicles.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by
5 changing Section 2-104 as follows:
6 (625 ILCS 5/2-104) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 2-104)
7 Sec. 2-104. Powers and duties of the Secretary of State.
8 (a) The administration of Chapters 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9
9 of this Act is vested in the Secretary of State, who is
10 charged with the duty of observing, administering and
11 enforcing the provisions of this Act.
12 (b) The Secretary may from time to time make, amend, and
13 rescind such rules and regulations as may be necessary in the
14 public interest to carry out the provisions of this Act,
15 including rules and regulations governing procedures for the
16 filing of applications and the issuance of licenses or
17 registrations thereunder. The rules and regulations adopted
18 by the Secretary of State under this Act shall be effective
19 in the manner provided for in "the Illinois Administrative
20 Procedure Act", approved September 22, 1975, as amended.
