 1        AN ACT concerning health facilities.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5. Amends the Assisted Living and Shared Housing
 5    Act by adding Section 76 as follows:

 6        (210 ILCS 9/76 new)
 7        Sec. 76. Pneumonia shots. Before a prospective resident's
 8    admission to an assisted living  establishment  or  a  shared
 9    housing  establishment,  the  establishment  shall advise the
10    prospective resident to  consult  a  physician  to  determine
11    whether  the prospective resident should obtain a vaccination
12    against pneumococcal pneumonia.

13        Section 99. Effective date. This Act  shall  take  effect
14    upon becoming law.
