92_SB1921 LRB9215536NTpk 1 AN ACT concerning schools. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The State Aid Continuing Appropriation Law is 5 amended by changing Sections 15-10, 15-15, and 15-20 as 6 follows: 7 (105 ILCS 235/15-10) 8 (Section scheduled to be repealed on June 30, 2002) 9 Sec. 15-10. Annual budget; recommendation. The Governor 10 shall include a Common School Fund recommendation to the 11 State Board of Education in the fiscal year 1999through 200212 annual Budget and in the annual Budget for each fiscal year 13 thereafterBudgetssufficient to fund (i) the General State 14 Aid Formula set forth in subsection (E) (Computation of 15 General State Aid) and subsection (H) (Supplemental General 16 State Aid) of Section 18-8.05 of the School Code and (ii) the 17 supplementary payments for school districts set forth in 18 subsection (J) (Supplementary Grants in Aid) of Section 19 18-8.05 of the School Code. 20 (Source: P.A. 92-7, eff. 6-29-01.) 21 (105 ILCS 235/15-15) 22 (Section scheduled to be repealed on June 30, 2002) 23 Sec. 15-15. State Aid Formula; Funding. The General 24 Assembly shall annually make Common School Fund 25 appropriations to the State Board of Education in fiscal year 26years1999 and in each fiscal year thereafterthrough 200227 sufficient to fund (i) the General State Aid Formula set 28 forth in subsection (E) (Computation of General State Aid) 29 and subsection (H) (Supplemental General State Aid) of 30 Section 18-8.05 of the School Code and (ii) the supplementary -2- LRB9215536NTpk 1 payments for school districts set forth in subsection (J) 2 (Supplementary Grants in Aid) of Section 18-8.05 of the 3 School Code. 4 (Source: P.A. 92-7, eff. 6-29-01.) 5 (105 ILCS 235/15-20) 6 (Section scheduled to be repealed on June 30, 2002) 7 Sec. 15-20. Continuing appropriation. If the General 8 Assembly fails to make Common School Fund appropriations to 9 the State Board of Education in fiscal yearyears1999 and in 10 each fiscal year thereafterthrough 2002sufficient to fund 11 (i) the General State Aid Formula set forth in subsection (E) 12 (Computation of General State Aid) and subsection (H) 13 (Supplemental General State Aid) of Section 18-8.05 of the 14 School Code and (ii) the supplementary payments for school 15 districts set forth in subsection (J) (Supplementary Grants 16 in Aid) of Section 18-8.05 of the School Code, this Article 17 shall constitute an irrevocable and continuing appropriation 18 from the Common School Fund of all amounts necessary for 19 those purposes. 20 (Source: P.A. 92-7, eff. 6-29-01.) 21 (105 ILCS 235/15-25 rep.) 22 Section 10. The General State Aid Continuing 23 Appropriation Law is amended by repealing Section 15-25. 24 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 25 becoming law.
