1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1996
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 1996 on page 1,
3 line 31, by changing "a" to "any"; and
4 on page 2, line 10, by changing "3" to "7"; and
5 on page 2 by replacing lines 16 through 25 with the
6 following:
7 "(3) If an insurance policy or contract is
8 cancelled for any reason within 90 days following the
9 inception date, the producer or business entity shall
10 refund to the consumer a prorated portion of the fee or
11 compensation within 30 days after the producer or
12 business entity receives proper documentation that the
13 corresponding insurance policy or contract has been
14 cancelled. At no time shall a producer or business entity
15 charge the consumer a fee or compensation for
16 cancellation of any insurance policy or contract."; and
17 on page 2, line 26, by deleting "consumer or contracting
18 party's"; and
19 on page 2, line 31, by changing "disclosure statement's" to
20 "disclosure's".
