92_SR0028 LRB9207815RHrh 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends 4 of Don Dingillo, who recently passed away; and 5 WHEREAS, Don Dingillo began his 33-year police career 6 with the Chicago Police Department; in 1978, he joined the 7 Northbrook department as a patrol officer, and was active 8 with the Citizens Emergency Rescue Unit; he spent a year in 9 the community relations section, where he specialized in 10 crime prevention, then was assigned to the investigations 11 section as a detective; and 12 WHEREAS, During his 23 years with the Northbrook force, 13 Don Dingillo was known for being there when he was needed; 14 for years, the long-time Park Ridge resident was nicknamed by 15 a former commander as the "go to" guy; he was known to never 16 turn down a case no matter how busy he might have been; and 17 WHEREAS, Don Dingillo was an avid golfer and sports fan; 18 he was a lifelong follower of the Chicago Bears; and 19 WHEREAS, The passing of Don Dingillo will be deeply felt 20 by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife, Linda; 21 his daughters, Danielle and Lisa; and his brother, Pat; 22 therefore, be it 23 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL 24 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 25 all who knew him, the death of Don Dingillo of Park Ridge, 26 Illinois; and be it further 27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 28 presented to the family of Don Dingillo with our sincere 29 condolences.
