92_SR0076 LRB9208473KBkb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends 4 of Aaron Roger Mahr of Aurora, Illinois, who recently passed 5 away; and 6 WHEREAS, Roger Mahr was born in Upton, Missouri, on 7 January 4, 1936; his parents were the late Harry and Ruth 8 Mahr; and 9 WHEREAS, Roger Mahr grew up in Mooseheart in Batavia; he 10 was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame for Track and Field 11 at Mooseheart; and 12 WHEREAS, Roger Mahr and his partners started the West 13 Aurora Barber Shop, serving the community with pride for over 14 forty years; and 15 WHEREAS, Roger Mahr was a member of Holy Angels Church; 16 he was a lifetime member of the Aurora Lodge #400, Loyal 17 Order of the Moose; and 18 WHEREAS, Roger Mahr enjoyed aviation, flying small 19 aircraft most of his adult life; he enjoyed reading and 20 history; and he is remembered as a loving friend, husband, 21 father, and grandfather; and 22 WHEREAS, The passing of Aaron Roger Mahr will be deeply 23 felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife, 24 Jean; his two daughters, Michele (husband, Paul) Pierski and 25 Angela (husband, Lance) Holloway; his grandchildren, Braiton 26 and Zoie Holloway and Morgan Pierski; his stepchildren, 27 Andrew (wife, Jeannie) Larson, Steve (wife, Marcey) Larson, 28 and Julie (husband, Doug) Sherrell; his six 29 step-grandchildren; his brothers, Donald (wife, Marian) Mahr, 30 Clair (wife, Violet) Mahr, Jerry (wife, Janice) Mahr, and 31 Steve (wife, Gloria) Mahr; his sisters, Rosale Spahr, Katie -2- LRB9208473KBkb 1 Maxwell, Ila Ruth Mahr, and Arlene (husband, Gary) France; 2 and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it 3 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL 4 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 5 his family and friends, the passing of Aaron Roger Mahr of 6 Aurora; and be it further 7 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 8 presented to the family of Aaron Roger Mahr.
