 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Illinois  Senate  wish  to
 3    express  their  sincere condolences to the family and friends
 4    of Stanley W. Talbot, who passed away on June 23, 2001; and

 5        WHEREAS, Stanley W. Talbot was born on August 26, 1950 in
 6    Kewanee, Illinois to Earl and Sheila Ringel Talbot; and

 7        WHEREAS, Stanley Talbot was a 1968  graduate  of  Annawan
 8    High  School  and  attended Black Hawk College East Campus in
 9    Kewanee from 1968 to 1970; he later transferred  to  Illinois
10    State  University  in  Normal  where he received a bachelor's
11    degree in agriculture in 1972; and

12        WHEREAS, Stanley Talbot served in the  Marine  ROTC  from
13    1970 through 1972; and

14        WHEREAS,  Stanley Talbot began his police career with the
15    Bloomington Police Department after graduation and served for
16    two and a half years  before  going  to  the  Illinois  State
17    Police  Academy  in 1975; he was later assigned to District 5
18    in Joliet  until  being  transferred  in  September  1979  to
19    District  7  in  East Moline, where he was assigned to patrol
20    duties; in 1985 he was transferred to investigations  and  in
21    1985 he was promoted to Special Agent Master Sergeant; and

22        WHEREAS,  Stanley  Talbot  was  a  member of the National
23    Rifle  Association,  Illinois  Police  Association,  and  the
24    Fraternal Order of Police Troopers Lodge 41; and

25        WHEREAS, The passing of Stanley  Talbot  will  be  deeply
26    felt  by  all  who  knew  and loved him, especially his wife,
27    Ladonna; his daughter, Dyan Talbot; his son, Douglas  Talbot;
28    his mother, Sheila Otis; his sisters, Becky (husband, Manuel)
29    Vallego  and  Mary  Beth  Abraham; his brothers, Bruce (wife,
30    Sheila) Talbot, Dave (wife, Tammy ) Talbot, and  Jason  Otis;
31    his  eight  stepbrothers  and stepsisters; his several nieces

 1    and nephews; and his many colleagues at the District 7 Police
 2    Department in East Moline; therefore, be it

 3        RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-SECOND  GENERAL
 4    ASSEMBLY  OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
 5    all who knew him, the death of Stanley Talbot  of  Cambridge,
 6    Illinois; and be it further

 7        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
 8    presented to the family of Stanley Talbot  with  our  sincere
 9    condolences.
