92_SR0182 LRB9209312RHrh 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends 4 of Edward R. "Midge" Bunk, who passed away on June 19, 2001; 5 and 6 WHEREAS, Edward R. Bunk was born on September 21, 1923 in 7 Marshfield, Wisconsin and lived in North Chicago for most of 8 his life; and 9 WHEREAS, Edward R. Bunk served in the United States Army 10 during World War II as a heavy equipment operator, building 11 roads in the China, India, Burma Theatre; and 12 WHEREAS, Edward R. Bunk retired in 1978 after 34 years of 13 service from Great Lakes in the Roads and Grounds Department; 14 he also served as a crossing guard for North Chicago Schools 15 for 10 years; and 16 WHEREAS, Edward R. Bunk was a member of the Queen of 17 Peace Church; he was a former member of the Holy Family 18 Church in North Chicago, where he served on the school board; 19 and 20 WHEREAS, Edward R. Bunk's greatest joys were fishing with 21 his friends and the Chicago Cubs; and 22 WHEREAS, The passing of Edward R. Bunk will be deeply 23 felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife of 54 24 years, Darlene; his sons, Louis (wife, Ann) Bunk and Steven 25 (wife, Diane) Bunk; his grandchildren, Lori (husband, Greg) 26 Young, Sean Bunk, Lindsay Bunk, Steven Bunk, and Lizzie Bunk; 27 his brother, Louis (wife, Theresa) Bunk; his sisters, Mary 28 Lou (husband, John) McKinney, Joyce Meyers, and Margaret 29 (husband, Richard) Sauve; and his many nieces and nephews; 30 therefore, be it -2- LRB9209312RHrh 1 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL 2 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 3 all who knew him, the death of Edward R. Bunk of North 4 Chicago, Illinois; and be it further 5 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 6 presented to the family of Edward R. Bunk with our sincere 7 condolences.
