92_SR0231 LRB9209916RHrh 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends 4 of T. Paul Marrin, Sr. of Springfield, Illinois; who passed 5 away on July 2, 2001; and 6 WHEREAS, T. Paul Marrin, Sr. was born on December 21, 7 1911 in Springfield, Illinois to John Allison and Mary T. 8 Dressendorfer Marrin; he married the late Mary D. Merrick in 9 1939 in Springfield; and 10 WHEREAS, Mr. Martin was a custodian at the State Armory 11 and worked for the State of Illinois for 30 years, retiring 12 in 1978; and 13 WHEREAS, Mr. Martin served on the Sangamon County Board 14 for District 28 from 1978 through 1988 and was a Democratic 15 precinct committeeman from 1966 through 1990; in addition, he 16 was appointed secretary of the Springfield Mass Transit 17 District in September 1993, and he was a member of St. 18 Joseph's Catholic Church; and 19 WHEREAS, The passing of T. Paul Marrin, Sr. will be 20 deeply felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his 21 daughters, Pam (husband, Garry) Williamson, Kathleen "Kay" 22 Marrin, Martha Marrin, and Sheila (husband, David) Ryan; his 23 sons, Thomas Paul Marrin, Jr., James A. Marrin, Dennis (wife, 24 Madonna) Marrin, and Joseph A. (wife, Judy) Marrin; his 11 25 grandchildren; his 2 great grandchildren; his sister, Grace 26 Schoff; and his several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it 27 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL 28 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 29 all who knew him, the death of T. Paul Marrin, Sr. of 30 Springfield, Illinois; and be it further 31 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be -2- LRB9209916RHrh 1 presented to the family of T. Paul Marrin, Sr. with our 2 sincere condolences.
