 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Illinois  Senate  wish  to
 3    express  their  sincere condolences to the family and friends
 4    of Arthur J. Katzenmaier, who passed  away  on  December  13,
 5    2001; and

 6        WHEREAS,  Arthur  J.  Katzenmaier  was born on August 30,
 7    1910 in St. Paul, Minnesota to George and  Anna  Katzenmaier;
 8    he  graduated  from Lake Forest College in 1933, and attended
 9    Northwestern University and the University of Chicago; and

10        WHEREAS, Mr.  Katzenmaier  served  as  the  Principal  of
11    Gurnee Grade School and North School in Waukegan; in 1945, he
12    became  Superintendent  of School District 64, North Chicago,
13    retiring in 1972; upon his retirement, Mr. Katzenmaier became
14    a supervisor for the Lake County Jury Commission; and

15        WHEREAS, Mr. Katzenmaier also served as an  Assistant  to
16    William  Thompson,  as Regional Superintendent of Lake County
17    Education, and was a member of the Board of Trustees  of  the
18    College of Lake County for eight years; and

19        WHEREAS,  The  passing  of  Arthur J. Katzenmaier will be
20    deeply felt by all who knew and  loved  him,  especially  his
21    wife   of  64  years,  Genevieve  Katzenmaier;  his  son  and
22    daughter-in-law,  George   and   Marilyn   Katzenmaier;   his
23    grandsons,  Craig  (Melissa)  Katzenmaier  and Russ (Michele)
24    Katzenmaier; and a host of nieces and nephews; therefore,  be
25    it

26        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
27    ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along  with
28    all  who  knew  him,  the  death  of Arthur J. Katzenmaier of
29    Libertyville, Illinois; and be it further

30        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
31    presented  to  the  family  of Arthur J. Katzenmaier with our
