92_SR0353 LRB9216399RHrh 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 3 express their sincere condolences to the friends and family 4 of Louis H. Bitto, who passed away on February 28, 2002; and 5 WHEREAS, Louis H. Bitto was born on January 25, 1927, in 6 Chicago to Albertine Forgue Bitto; he married Mary Murphy on 7 May 28, 1949; their union lasted nearly 53 years and produced 8 10 sons and two daughters; and 9 WHEREAS, Mr. Bitto attended Crane Technical High School 10 and enlisted in the Navy in 1944; he saw action in the 11 Pacific and helped transport troops home from Europe after 12 the war; and 13 WHEREAS, Throughout his career he worked in the printing 14 industry and served in every capacity from pressman to 15 production supervisor; and 16 WHEREAS, Louis Bitto was a caring husband and 17 extraordinary father; he encouraged his children's 18 participation in sports, attended hundreds of Carmel High 19 School football games, and served as coach for the Gagewood 20 Lions Club Little League for many years; and 21 WHEREAS, Mr. Bitto will be remembered for his open and 22 generous personality, his sense of humor, his resourcefulness 23 and ingenuity, his commitment to doing his best, his absolute 24 integrity, and his love of babies; and 25 WHEREAS, The passing of Louis H. Bitto will be deeply 26 felt by all who knew him, especially his wife, Mary Bitto; 27 his sister, Arlene Bitto; his daughter, Christine Bitto; his 28 sons, Louis Anthony (Linda) Bitto, Ronald (Constance) Bitto, 29 Thomas (Doreen) Bitto, Steven (Maureen) Bitto, Michael 30 (Patricia) Bitto, Mark (Carol) Bitto, Matthew Bitto, Andrew 31 (Katherine) Bitto, Mitchell (Barbara) Bitto, and Alexander -2- LRB9216399RHrh 1 (Kelly) Bitto; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Nicholas, Mark, 2 Joseph, Evan, Andrew, Gabriel, Tracy, Cody, Corryn, Claire, 3 Peter, Jack, Ryan, Jaclyn, Madeline, and Abigail Bitto, Steve 4 (Camille), David (Tammy) and Kim Mueller, Michael and 5 Christopher Koziol, Sarah and Zachary Long, Lee Johnston and 6 Todd Doyle; and his great-grandchildren, Eric Ross, and 7 Megan, Devin, and Kayleigh Mueller; he was preceded in death 8 by his grandfather and role model, Louis Forgue; his mother, 9 Albertine Forgue Bitto; his sisters, Elizabeth Bitto Seeliger 10 and Barbara Bitto Rollins; and his daughter, Louise Bitto 11 Long; therefore, be it 12 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL 13 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 14 all who knew him, the death of Louis H. Bitto of Wildwood, 15 Illinois; and be it further 16 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 17 presented to the family of Louis H. Bitto with our sincere 18 condolences.
