92_SR0394 LRB9216616RHrh 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends 4 of Arthur Lee Stovall, Jr., who passed away on March 9, 2002; 5 and 6 WHEREAS, Arthur Lee Stovall, Jr. was the eldest son born 7 to the union of the late Arthur Sr. and Anna Billups Stovall 8 on September 29, 1921 in West Point, Mississippi; and 9 WHEREAS, Mr. Stovall accepted hope in Christ at an early 10 age at the Buelah Grove Baptist Church in Artesia, 11 Mississippi; he was educated in the Clay County School System 12 and later moved to East St. Louis, Illinois in 1945; and 13 WHEREAS, During his life, Mr. Stovall was employed with 14 the Airtherm Manufacturing Company, Local 100 Labor Union, 15 and Burns Security Company; and 16 WHEREAS, The passing of Arthur Lee Stovall, Jr. will be 17 deeply felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his 18 devoted wife of 36 years, Quencella S.J. Stovall; his 19 stepsons, Isaac Ferguson, Jr., Paul (Lorraine) Ferguson, 20 Sherman (Teresa) Ferguson, and Juandecarlo Ferguson; his 21 stepdaughter, Sheryl (Jonathan) Tanner; his brothers, Joe Lee 22 Stovall, Fred Stovall, and Walter (Barbara) Stovall; his 23 sisters, Erlene Randall, Elaine Williams, Eliza Voiton, Anna 24 Marble (J.T.), Peggy Stovall, Georgia Mae (Earvin) Randall, 25 and Ida (Lorenzo) Humphrey; his sisters-in-law, Joyce 26 (Donald) McKinley, Amy Jackson, and Mrs. Lillian Washington; 27 his goddaughters, Latori (Vincent) Clark and Tammy Vinson; 28 his ten grandchildren; his two great-grandchildren; and a 29 host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and 30 friends; therefore, be it 31 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL -2- LRB9216616RHrh 1 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 2 all who knew him, the death of Arthur Lee Stovall, Jr. of 3 East St. Louis, Illinois; and be it further 4 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 5 presented to the family of Arthur Lee Stovall, Jr. with our 6 sincere condolences.
