92_SR0480 LRB9217436RHrh 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 3 express their sincerest condolences to the family and friends 4 of James Tibbs, who passed away on July 4, 2002; and 5 WHEREAS, Mr. Tibbs was well known throughout the Metro 6 East area; he was formerly employed at East St. Louis School 7 District #189 and retired as Transportation Consultant for 8 Comprehensive Mental Health in East St. Louis; and 9 WHEREAS, The passing of James Tibbs will be deeply felt 10 by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife, Jo 11 Carroll; his daughter, Deborah (husband, Carleton) Hampton; 12 his sons, J. Marcus (wife, Margaret) Tibbs and Bernard Tibbs; 13 his sisters, Jonnie M. Chapman, Rosetta Harris, and Arlene 14 Yates; his father-in-law, John (wife, Arnett) Daniel; his 15 stepdaughters, Toi A. Dixon and Renni L. Phillips; his 16 stepsons, Thomas Dixon III and Kevin L. Dixon; his 10 17 grandchildren; his great-grandchild; his special cousin, 18 Eldora Love Adkins; his special niece, Erma (husband, Bill) 19 Montgomery; and a host of other relatives and friends; 20 therefore, be it 21 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL 22 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 23 all who knew him, the death of James Tibbs of East St. Louis, 24 Illinois; and be it further 25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 26 presented to the family of James Tibbs with our sincere 27 condolences.
