TURNER,ART. 210 ILCS 85/10.4 from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 151.4 210 ILCS 85/10.5 new 225 ILCS 60/53.6 new Amends the Hospital Licensing Act and the Medical Practice Act of 1987. Provides that no person shall participate in offering or making an exclusive contract for hospital services of a physician licensed to practice medicine in all its branches practicing other than emergency medicine, neonatology, pathology, radiology, or anesthesiology. Provides that no exclusive contract is permissible for pain management services performed by a physician licensed to practice medicine in all its branches, including but not limited to physicians practicing anesthesiology. Provides that a violation of the provisions is a business offense punishable by a fine of up to $1,000 for the first violation and $5,000 for a subsequent violation. Provides a right of action in the circuit court for violation of the Section. Effective immediately.
