DART. New Act Creates the Illinois Racketeering Act. Prohibits the receipt of income from a pattern of racketeering activity and the acquisition, through a pattern of racketeering activity, of an interest in or control of an enterprise that is in engaged in or affects interstate commerce. Prohibits a person who is employed by or associated with an enterprise engaged in or the activities of which affect State or local commerce from conducting or participating in the conduct of that enterprise's affairs through a pattern of racketeering activity. Imposes civil penalties for violations of the Act. Effective January 1, 2002.
