FRITCHEY AND KLINGLER. New Act Creates the State Employee Organ Donor Act. Grants paid leave to full-time State employees for the donation of their organs, tissues, blood products, and whole blood. Specifies the maximum amount of leave per category of donation. Provides that a State employee may not be compensated for unused donor leave. Requires State agencies and offices to establish procedures for documenting the proper use of donor leave. Effective July 1, 2002.
