GRANBERG. New Act Creates the Curator of the Executive Mansion Act. Creates the office of Curator of the Executive Mansion, to be filled by appointment of the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate. Requires the Curator to manage the preservation and conservation of the art, furnishings, and artifacts of the Illinois Executive Mansion in Springfield, the Hayes House in DuQuoin, and the Governor's offices in Springfield and Chicago. Requires the Curator to manage the preservation and conservation of the buildings and grounds of the Illinois Executive Mansion. Authorizes the Curator to employ necessary staff, enter into necessary contracts, and acquire appropriate items. Requires cooperation between the Curator and State agencies for the performance of the Curator's duties. Provides that the Act does not affect any State agency's jurisdiction over sites whose preservation the Curator manages. Effective immediately.
