KURTZ-BEAUBIEN-BASSI.

   65 ILCS 5/7-3-6           from Ch. 24, par. 7-3-6                           

        Amends the Illinois Municipal Code.  Provides that  for  5  years      
   following  the  disconnection  of an area of land from a municipality,      
   the land may not be annexed  into  any  municipality  other  than  the      
   municipality from which it was disconnected.                                
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
        Provides  that  for  5  years  after  the  entry   of   a   final      
   disconnection  order,  an  area of land that has been disconnected may      
   not be annexed into any municipality with a population  of  less  than      
   100,000  inhabitants  (instead  of just "any municipality") other than      
   the municipality from which it was disconnected.
