WINKEL. 410 ILCS 620/16.10 new Amends the Illinois Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. Provides that upon the request of a person who is 60 years of age or older or who is blind or otherwise visually impaired, when a person dispenses a drug by filling or refilling a written or oral prescription of a practitioner licensed by law to administer the drug, the person must affix to the drug container a label stating the directions for the drug's use in a print size that allows no more than 10 characters per inch. In addition, the person dispensing the drug must orally explain the directions for the drug's use to the person to whom the drug is dispensed. Effective immediately.
