O'MALLEY. New Act Creates the Alcohol Impaired Minor Responsibility Act. Provides that a person who is injured by an intoxicated person under 18 years of age has a right of action for damages against any person who is at least 18 years of age (i) who, by selling, giving, or delivering alco- holic liquor or (ii) who, by permitting consumption of alcoholic li- quor causes or contributes to the impairment of a person under 18 years of age. Provices that an action for damages is barred unoess it is commenced within 2 years after it arises. Provides that the Act does not aply to any person who supplies alcoholic liquor pursuant to a license issued pursuant to the Liquor Control Act of 1934. Effective immediately.
