DILLARD. 105 ILCS 5/10-17a from Ch. 122, par. 10-17a 105 ILCS 5/27-23.6 new Amends the School Code. Provides that, beginning with the 2002-2003 school year, public elementary and secondary schools may incorporate activities to address intergroup conflict, with the objectives of improving intergroup relations on and beyond the school campus, defusing intergroup tensions, and promoting peaceful resolution of conflict. For the 2002-2003, 2003-2004, and 2004-2005 school years, requires a school district's school report card assessing the performance of its schools and students to indicate whether or not the district incorporates anti-bias education and intergroup conflict resolution as part of its activities. Effective immediately.
