GEO-KARIS-RADOGNO. New Act 30 ILCS 105/5.545 new Creates the Affordable Prescription Drugs for Illinois Act and amends the State Finance Act. Authorizes the State Treasurer to implement the Affordable Prescription Drugs for Illinois Program to make more affordable prescription drugs available to Illinois residents who are under age 18, who are age 65 or older, or who have catastrophic health problems. Limits prices that may be charged to senior citizens for prescription drugs. Requires drug manufacturers to enter into rebate agreements with the Treasurer. Creates the Affordable Prescription Drugs for Illinois Program Fund and provides for a transfer of $30,000,000 from GRF into the fund to reimburse pharmacies that participate in the program.
