CLAYBORNE. 230 ILCS 5/26 from Ch. 8, par. 37-26 Amends the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975. Provides that if only one breed of horse racing is conducted at a racetrack that is located in Madison County in a given year before 2002, certain purse moneys derived from simulcast wagering and inter-track wagering shall be paid only to the purse account of the breed that raced at that track for that year. Provides that the preceding provisions are declarative of existing law. Provides that if only one breed of horse racing is conducted at a racetrack that is located in Madison County in a given year after 2001, certain purse moneys derived from simulcast wagering and inter-track wagering shall be paid only to the purse account of the breed that raced at that track for that year; provided that the racetrack conducts at least as many days of live racing as in calendar year 2000. Provides that any person licensed to conduct a race meeting of at least 60 days of live racing in a calendar year at a racetrack located in Madison County may be issued an inter-track wagering license.
