MOLARO-JONES,E. 725 ILCS 5/113-3 from Ch. 38, par. 113-3 Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963. Provides that court appointed counsel in capital cases shall be paid reasonable fees in an amount equal to the average hourly rate for counsel in those cases in the county in which the case is tried. Provides that expert witnesses in capital cases involving indigent defendants shall be paid reasonable fees in an amount equal to the average hourly rate for that type of expert witness in capital cases in the county in which the case is tried. Eliminates the salary caps in those cases. Effective immediately.
